Do Solar Panels
Take a Winter Break?

Debunking the myth: "If it's cold outside, solar energy doesn't work." Is that really true? Let's find out.

"There's snow outside, the sky is crystal blue but the air is freezing. Are you looking at the panels on the roof and thinking 'They're just sitting there'?"

Solar energy systems operate on the photovoltaic (light energy) principle. That is, when photons from the sky hit the cells inside the panel, electricity or heat is produced. Even if it's -10 degrees outside, if the sun is shining, your system continues to work. In fact, an interesting technical detail: solar cells work more efficiently in cool weather than in the scorching summer heat.

Keep this in mind:

"In winter, the real issue isn't the cold; it's the shorter days. The sun stays visible for less time, but as long as it's up, it's serving you. Just make sure they're not completely buried in snow!"

As an Ankara-based company with experience since 1990, we follow the sun regardless of the season. As long as the light is there, we continue to harvest that energy for you. Remember, the cheapest energy is the one you save, and the winter sun is more generous than you might think.
